…i capture & bend reality…

because different is beautiful

To create the images you see here, I use a drone with a Hasselblad camera and a handful of programs. Each planet is made from sets of still photos that I shoot and edit. My goal is to capture crisp, high resolution, raw images of my surroundings in their best natural light. Non-destructive editing is the toughest part of the entire process.

With my workflow, each planet is 14 feet tall x 14 feet wide @300ppi. I edit the large format images and to ensure fidelity. The final step is scaling each piece from 50,000 pixels to 15,000 pixels for print.

i want my work to be outstanding + i won’t settle for the easy way + i don’t quit until i reach my goal

what i DON’T do: I don’t slap a bunch of computer generated shapes and pixels together to create fantasy spaces. I don’t even know if I have the skill to do that… I don’t use apps or 360 cams or effects. I don’t use sky replacement or neural filters and I rarely comp images. At first, I tried to use all-in-one solutions, 360 cameras, 360 programs, fish eyes… they all sacrifice the detail and fidelity of your raw images. I bend, warp, blend and stitch stacks of hi-res photos to create each print. I would have saved thousands of hours if I could create these images with one photo and a couple mouse clicks. While my workflow does take a lot of time and focus, my level of detail is well worth the effort.
